About Big Dog Fishing  Guide Service

At Big Dog Fishing Guide Service we provide group and corporate outings for groups of four up to two hundred guests. Both during the summer and winter. 

We have been doing corporate and group outings since 1996. We are fully insured for large group outings and we take care of getting all of the necessary permits and licenses from the state, county and local authorities for the events. 

Big Dog Fishing Guide Service was founded in 1996 by Captain Gary Klingler.

Gary has been fishing tournaments since 1979 and has qualified for several national championship tournaments. He has also been providing instructions and training to fishermen for over 30 years. He holds a Masters Captain's license from the United States Coast Guard and is also licensed to perform weddings in Minnesota.

At Big Dog Fishing Guide Service we also have several other highly qualified guides on our staff. They all have at least twenty years of experience and are very proficient at putting our guests on fish and teaching them how to catch the fish.They have all worked with Gary for at least five years and have proven themselves to not only catch fish consistently but have the patience and desire to make every trip an enjoyable one. For our large corporate events we contract with over 100 of the top fishermen in central Minnesota to provide guides for groups of up to 200 guests. These fishermen are picked by Gary for their ability to produce fish for our guests and that have the patience and professionalism to make every trip an enjoyable one. All of the guides that work for Big Dog Fishing Guide Service are the best of the best. They have the knowledge, patience, desire, determination, skill, and the equipment to make every outing enjoyable. Otherwise they would not be allowed to run with THE BIG DOG.

Including but not limited to Lake Minnetonka, Lake Waconia, Clearwater Lake, Mississippi River, St. Croix River, Howard Lake, Green Lake, Forest Lake, White Bear Lake, Big Marine Lake, Lake Mille Lacs, Lake Washington, and more. We also offer services in the Hackensack and Longville areas during the spring, summer and fall. 

The Big Dogs fish for all types of fish

Our guides will take you fishing for Muskie, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, Crappies and Perch. Our fishing guides will teach you some of the newest and hottest techniques to catch fish along with time proven ways to catch fish.
